US Border crossing information

At present you are required to carry a photo identity card (i.e. driving licence) to cross the border from the U.S. by automobile., however, you should carry proof of your citizenship, such as a birth certificate, certificate of citizenship or naturalization, as well as a photo ID. If you are a permanent resident of the U.S., you should bring your Permanent Resident Card (i.e. green card) with you. From Within Ontario

St. Catharines is located directly off the QEW, an easy drive from Toronto, Hamilton, London, Sarnia and Windsor.

IN by Car

The city is bisected by the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW), which runs from Toronto to Buffalo. It also links to the 400-series highways to access points north, east and west of St. Catharines. get to st. catharines getting here by air, land or sea and US entry requirements

IN by Bus

Many major cities are serviced daily by bus, including Niagara Falls, Burlington, London, Toronto, Buffalo, New York, Boston and Washington. Call the bus terminal at 905-682-9206 or visit www.greyhound.com or www.trentway.com. The bus terminal is located at 70 Carlisle Street in Downtown St. Catharines.

IN by Air

There are a number of airports within an hour drive of St. Catharines: Hamilton International Airport, Pearson International Airport (Toronto), and Buffalo International Airport (Buffalo, New York). Niagara District Airport in nearby Niagara-on-the-Lake is primarily for private and charter aircraft. Airbus and taxi service is available from all airports.

IN by Rail

Both VIA Rail and Amtrack service the St. Catharines station. Call 1-888-842-7245 or visit www.viarail.com. The station is located on Great Western Street, off St. Paul Street West, near the Downtown section of the city.

IN by Water

If you are boating or sailing into St. Catharines, the city has many marinas offering itinerant docking and repair facilities. The Port Dalhousie Marina at 50 Lighthouse Rd. (905-646-5515) and the St. Catharines Marina at Port Weller at 222 Broadway Ave. near the Welland Canal (905-935-5522).
